U.S. Citizens do not apply for E.U. Travel Bans

We were feeling that some people were confused about the travel bans, especially because U.S Citizens do not apply for E.U. Travel Bans, as said in the statement below:

Homeland Security Statement: U.S. Citizens do not apply for E.U. Travel Bans

President Donald J. Trump signed a Presidential Proclamation, which suspends the entry of most foreign nationals who have been in certain European countries at any point during the 14 days prior to their scheduled arrival to the United States. These countries, known as the Schengen Area, include: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. This does not apply to legal permanent residents, (generally) immediate family members of U.S. citizens, and other individuals who are identified in the proclamation.

Also, U.S. Citizens come home early, and there is a waiver for free changes. This is based on airline availability. Travelers will not be put on quarantine, only if they are returning from Level 3 Territories.

The ban will last for 30 days, starting on March 13 at 12:00 a.m.

And the main question: can I get a refund on my tickets?

If your originally scheduled flight is canceled, there may be an opportunity to get a full refund.  Most airlines are still processing free changes. Non-refundable tickets are still non-refundable.

But if you still are going to book your flight, you might want to consider book trips with flexible dates using a reliable company to do it.

Some travel companies, also do not charge any cancellation or change fees.
